Is there any way i can prevent my xbox from overheating?
i have a halo xbox and i was wondering if i should get a intercooler but i dont no if i should please help me decide

I have worked on a few xbox in last couple of weeks and seen many different things. First, do not leave it confined in an enclosed area such as an entertainment center. All that heat in such a small space and those little fans in the system just cannot move it out fast enough! I any currently working on trying to get rid of the ERROR in a friends . I have found that the x clamp technique, new arctic silver compound, ten pennies and some electrical tape work wonders! His system seemed to be over heating. Everytime he would turn it on, E would pop up on the screen. IT NOW WORKS PERFECTLY! There is a small intercooler by pelican I would recommend that is sold by gamestop that cost .. I have tried the nyko one but found that the xbox pulls in more electricity and eventually, the system gave me the RROD...on HALO launch day! Oh yeah, also do not plug the power brick into a surge protector, plug it straight the wall. I know that everyone will have different situations, I just gave you one of mine!
